Hi and welcome to Pinkspiderwebs! My name is Sylvia, aka Sly. I'm 29 years old and was born in Chicago, IL. I joined Etsy.com in the fall of 2006, and since then, have managed my shop Pinkspiderwebs!  I create colorful kawaii jewelry and accessories...for those of you that don't know, kawaii means "cute" in Japanese.  I love the style of Harajuku girls in Japan which inspired my work.  I love working with charms, chains, beads, toys, trinkets and polymer clay.  When I make my jewelry, I never have a set plan in my head, I just sit down and create whatever comes naturally, which kind of makes it therapeutic for me.  In the process, I create fun jewelry for you guys to wear!! 

I graduated with two Bachelor degrees from Illinois State University in 2003, one in Art and one in Psychology.  I have always wanted to and still plan on getting my master's degree in Art Therapy.  I find art very important as a therapeutic as well as communication tool, and would love to share that with others. For now, I'm just creating jewelry to share with you! :o)
